I've worked with Concrete Youth for a few projects and am always delighted to be asked back. The company is dedicated to really making an impact in an area of theatre that is often overlooked and they have their audience members at the front and centre of everything they do. Working with them is always a delight not only because the shows are incredibly rewarding to be a part of but additionally because it is backed by a supportive team with incredible talent and work ethic.

Working with Concrete Youth was a transformative experience for me as an artist. The care, support, and generosity they show to their audiences and freelancers alike is second to none. Their rehearsal rooms are relaxed, collaborative, and bursting with creativity and joy and their shows are dynamic, exciting, intimate, audience-led pieces that allow each audience member to explore and engage in the work in whatever way they would like. They provided me with invaluable training and support to develop new skills as a sensory practitioner that I will take forward in my future artistic practice. I’m so grateful for the passion for sensory theatre and working with audiences labelled with PMLD that Concrete Youth ignited in me, and I cannot recommend working with them more highly.
